What do you do when one of the largest and most influential companies in the world puts out an RFP for a second headquarters? You bring in the A-team! As the only designer on this small, yet mighty, team my leadership and designs were at the forefront of one of the largest RFPs the world has ever seen. My designs spanned across social media, RFP booklets, packaging and other deliverables the city sent to Amazon. I studied Amazon’s design language and applied it to my design guidelines for this project.

The main part of the RFP required us to answer a set of questions. These questions were answer and put together into a 300-page book that I designed using InDesign. The book contained massive amounts of information that needed to be laid out strategically. Clear call outs, headers and spacing helped readers to not become overwhelmed.

We also sent a book to accompany the RFP book that captured a fraction of the immense culture of Atlanta. This booklet highlights major neighborhoods with choice locations to eat, drink and play. We also included lists of music venues, art galleries and attractions. The last section of the book contained quotes from Atlanta leaders in the region.

I created infographics to highlight dense information.

Because this RFP was public facing, we also created a social media campaign on ChooseATL’s Instagram that highlighted things that Atlanta has to offer from A to Z. This campaign got ATLiens hyped for the chance to win Amazon HQ2 and showed off Atlanta’s amazing culture.
